Registration and Presentation Policy
In what follows, we outline the essential guidelines that the authors of accepted contributions must follow for their submissions and participation in the conference. Please read these policies carefully to ensure compliance with the requirements for your specific type of contribution.
As per the main conference and adjunct proceedings, the official publication date is when they are made available in the ACM Digital Library. This date may be up to two weeks before the first day of UMAP 2025. The official publication date affects deadlines for patent filings related to published work.
For each Full, Short, and Doctoral Consortium Paper:
- Author Registration: A distinct full author registration is mandatory by the deadline stated in the CfP.
- Presentation Requirement: Mandatory in-person presentation.
- Proceedings Inclusion: Inclusion in the main conference proceedings.
For each Late Breaking Results and Demo Paper:
- Author Registration: A distinct full author registration is mandatory by the early registration cut-off date.
- Presentation Requirement: Mandatory in-person presentation.
- Proceedings Inclusion: Inclusion in the adjunct conference proceedings.
For each Workshop and Tutorial Summary Paper:
- Organization Requirement: All organizers must run the workshop/tutorial, with at least 50% (with a minimum of 1) of them registered for full in-person participation. Organizers attending online may register with a Workshop/Tutorial-only regular registration.
- Proceedings Inclusion: Inclusion in the adjunct conference proceedings.
For each Workshop Paper:
- Author Registration: Mandatory distinct full author registration by the early registration cut-off date.
- Presentation Format: Mandatory presentation either in person or online.
- Proceedings Inclusion: Inclusion in the adjunct conference proceedings.
