In light of this commitment\u2014and thanks to the generous contributions of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.um.org\/\">UM Inc.<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sigweb.org\/\">SIGWEB<\/a>\u2014ACM UMAP 2025 is pleased to offer grants to help support conference attendance financially.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-018ac4f elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"018ac4f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>In addition, we would like to highlight that there are funds not directly managed by ACM UMAP 2025 for which interested applicants may also apply. Please note that each fund targets a specific audience, so you must verify that your profile meets the fund\u2019s requirements. It is named in memory of Gary Marsden, a Professor of Computer Science at the University of Cape Town (UCT) in South Africa.<\/p><p>This grant is not directly administered by ACM UMAP 2025, so it meets different rules and deadlines. Please refer to the following.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-89f96f3 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"89f96f3\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>Application Process:<\/strong> Applications for this grant are accepted monthly, with submissions due by the 9th of each month at 11:59 PM <a href=\"https:\/\/time.is\/Anywhere_on_Earth\">AoE<\/a>. This letter (in PDF or scanned PDF) must confirm: that you are a valid student and that your supervisor has reviewed your budget and agrees that it is reasonable. However, due to limited funding, the awarded amount may only partially cover these costs.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-fe0a7b7 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"fe0a7b7\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>Registration Fee: <\/strong>Applicants for a grant are advised to wait for the notification before registering for the conference. This way, UMAP 2025 may provide a voucher to register for the conference without paying the registration fee. If you submit a grant request and you don&#8217;t receive it, don&#8217;t worry about the early registration deadline. UMAP 2025 will provide you a discout code to register with the early registration rate.<br><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">For those who have already registered, the registration cost will be reallocated within the grant budget to reimburse travel and accommodation expenses.<br><\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Please note that for each accepted contribution, at least one full author registration is required per paper, even for student authors.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div Criteria<\/h4>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-21592c8 no-margin-paragraph elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"21592c8\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Grants will be awarded based on the following priorities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Student Status:<\/strong> Preference will be given to students.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Accepted Contributions:<\/strong> Preference will be given to authors of accepted contributions, with priority in the following order: doctoral consortium, main track, short paper, and other categories.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Residency:<\/strong> Applicants residing in an economically developing country (as defined by the ACM list) will be favoured.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Underrepresented Countries:<\/strong> Applicants from underrepresented countries at UMAP 2025 will also receive priority.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3421abc no-margin-paragraph elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\"
