We understand that travel conditions may be uncertain for some participants and aim to communicate our policy clearly.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

General policy
<\/strong>All registrations for UMAP 2026 are final and non-refundable. This policy is consistent with ACM conference guidelines and reflects financial commitments made to the venue and service providers.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Exceptional circumstances
<\/strong>Registered participants unable to attend due to visa issues or other valid, verifiable travel disruptions (such as canceled flights due to international conflicts or border closures) are eligible for a (partial) refund of their registration fee.
To request a refund, contact organizers at umap2026-chairs@um.org<\/a>. Any requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Please note that even where an exception is granted, certain costs (such as payment processing fees or non-recoverable supplier costs) may be deducted.
Note that requests must be sent no later than May 30, 2026.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Authors of accepted contributions (mandatory registration)
<\/strong>In accordance with ACM policy, at least one author of each accepted contribution must register for the conference.
This registration is mandatory and non-refundable, regardless of whether the author is ultimately able to attend the conference.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Failure to register may result in the contribution being removed from the conference proceedings.<\/p>\n
