The UMAP Student Award Program is intended to help student authors be a part of this year's UMAP conference.
This year, student support is provided by US NSF and ACM SIGCHI.

Student Awards are given to students to encourage them to attend UMAP 2021. Preference will be given to Doctoral Consortium presenters and to students who are first authors and will present their paper at the conference. Preference will be also given to Ph.D. students and to underrepresented groups such as women. Students from low income countries are also encouraged to apply, regardless of whether they are authors or not.

UMAP has limited funding for student authors and/or student participants/volunteers. Financial support will be provided via reimbursement of the registration fees. Note that the students who get funding may be required to help with the UMAP 2021 organization as a student volunteer.
